The Client
ebiTime.ai is a native product of easy.bi – built in-house as a bold experiment to see how far AI could go in managing the gritty realities of project delivery: time tracking, budget control, and team coordination. What started as a simple tracker became a fully-fledged assistant for PMs, COOs, and CFOs who hate chasing timesheets as much as they hate revenue leakage.
The Challenge
Time tracking tools weren’t built for leadership. Most stop at “log hours” - but leadership needs to know: Where’s our time going? Are we burning budget? Are we on track?
Our challenge: build an AI-first experience that answers these questions clearly, instantly, and without creating more admin work. From budget alerts to smart time proposals, ebiTime.ai had to go far beyond a pretty calendar view.
My Roles
As both Product Owner and Product Marketer, I owned the direction and the delivery of ebiTime.ai - from the initial idea to its public launch.
As Product Owner, I:
- Led roadmap definition both across web and mobile
- Broke complex requirements into dev-ready tickets and features (e.g., work packages, invoicing logic, budgeting rules)
- Defined edge cases and validation logic to ensure smooth user flows
- Facilitated cross-functional sessions to align engineering and design on feature priorities
- Oversaw UX work on various product flows
- Supported the development of both desktop and mobile apps, including preparing and publishing the mobile app to the App Store and Google Play
As Product Marketer, I:
- I crafted the go-to-market strategy and shaped how the product was perceived
- Built out value propositions and positioning across all three core personas (PM, COO, CFO)
- Wrote all customer-facing messaging – from the brand story to one-liners and landing pages
- Developed and refined marketing pillars, tone of voice, and USP-based messaging
- Created sample use-case messaging per persona to guide sales and onboarding
- Led naming, feature narrative, and demo prep for pre-launch materials
The Outcome
ebiTime.ai launched as a full-fledged SaaS product — not just a tracker, but a time-aware assistant that:
- Flags project risks and budget overruns before they escalate
- Autogenerates time entries and reports from voice, mentions, and calendars
- Gives CFOs and COOs clean billing data without waiting on PMs
- Offers PMs clarity on delivery, without the usual reporting drag
It’s everything a spreadsheet isn’t: fast, proactive, and designed for how leadership actually works.
