The Client
Proteini.si is a leading health and nutrition brand operating across the Southeast Europe and beyond. With a large and fast-moving product catalog, their team faced a familiar challenge: inventory decisions were manual, spreadsheet-driven, and vulnerable to human guesswork. They needed a smarter way to balance stock levels - without drowning in complexity.
The Challenge
The legacy process was reactive - based on gut feeling, not forecasting. Overstock and stockouts were frequent, and the team lacked clear visibility into inventory movements or order timing.
The goal? A new stock monitoring application that combines ERP data, sales history, and custom anomaly handling (like promotions) to enable predictive preordering - with just the right level of manual oversight.
My Role
As Product Owner Assistant, I supported the product team at easy.bi throughout the UX and concept development phase. I:
- Helped structure stakeholder needs into core feature flows and user stories
- Participated in workshops and concept validation sessions
- Reviewed wireframes and ensured they matched requirements
- Supported the documentation of core system behaviors
The Outcome
The result was a lean, intuitive stock monitoring tool that gave Proteini’s supply chain team real-time inventory visibility – and something they’d never had before: AI-powered suggestions on what to order and when.
Key wins included:
- Forecast-based ordering that adapts to promotions, supplier changes, and demand shifts
- Clean UI with prefilled preorders that teams can approve or tweak
- Alerts for overstock and understock risks – before they become expensive mistakes
- A system that balances automation with human control, reducing manual effort while increasing accuracy
By embedding intelligence into everyday workflows, Proteini.si moved from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-backed planning.
